The TMI5700 is a high-voltage synchronous buck-boost controller that operates from input voltages above, below or equal to the output voltage. With a wide 3.9V to 34V input and the output voltage can be either programmed by the FB pin or configured by the I2C interface from 3.08V to 21.5V with 10mV per step and controlled by PWM duty cycle. The control method is based upon current mode control that enables maximum performance under transient conditions.
It also features an adjustable soft-start function and offers protection features including input UVLO & OVP, cycle-by-cycle current limit, input average current limit, output average current protection, output overload protection (OLP), OVP and thermal shutdown. In addition, it features selectable Forced Continuous Conduction Mode (FCCM) or Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) operation for light load.
